Von: kmurpht * am 04.03.2007 I've seen a couple of people in this board, that are running opensuse 10.2 on an ASUS A7T laptop. I'm having serious problems to get sound working. Sole question is: have you got sound working, if you did, please reply how. I know it's not working out of the box. Ich hab da Leute gesehen die auch opensuse 10.2 auf einem ASUS A7T laptop haben. Ich hab kein Sound. Frage ist nur, ob Ihr wohl Sound habt, und wenn ja, wie habt Ihr das gemacht? Mfg

Antwort 1 von rookiejtc am 26.09.2007 I had the same problem for a long time with my Asus A7T. Have,nt found the right configuration after installing, compiling drivers, alsa and so on. But now Realtek has a driver download for Win, Mac-Os and Linux. Go to http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/ and follow the link to "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)". There you can download the newest driver for compilation or for installing with the script install.sh. Be sure, that you have installed binutils, make, gcc and g++ on your system. After starting the script, all compilations and configurations will be made automatacly. After a reboot it works perfectly. I have a new PCLinuxOs on my Laptop, but it should work on Debian and SuSE too. Greeting, rookie.

Antwort 2 von kmurpht * am 26.09.2007 Audio works perfect with latest alsa-driver Webcam works perfect with latest syntekdriver Suspend to disk and RAM work Wireless works perfect with latest madwifi driver Right now I'm running the opensuse 10.3 RC1 with the same drivers compiled for kernel 2.6.22 and everything is working smoothly. The ASUS acpi modules are in most recent kernels.
