Cd rom drive doesnt open
Von: minnie am 16.02.2007 Hi, my cd rom drive doesnt work properly anymore. It doesnt open until I click like 10 times. I have an acer notebook (almost 3 yrs old) and win XP. Will a cleaning disc help?? thx - minnie
Antwort 1 von nico ***** am 17.02.2007 If only the cds wouldn't work probably, a cleaning disk might have worked. But when also the drive doesn't react to "opening", it seems to be a hardware failure. Can you open the drive when clicking the "open" menu-entry in the Windows "System" panel on the cd drive?
Antwort 2 von Shan am 08.10.2007 there should be a hole under the cd tray put a pointed object in the hole and it will release and open hope it helps
