"Responsible for any problem?” Sorry but I didn’t mean what I’ve posted lately to be interpreted as if some one is to blame, I just Gave up from this problem, actually I turned to computerhelfin.com as I always had read a lot of useful resolutions and replies posted.

Once again Thank you

When you have 100 laptops with the same problem, did you try to re-install Windows on one of them? Did this change anything? Or did you run a spyware/adware/malware check, just to be sure it's none of this?

Maybe this could help?

I'm having the same problem. When I change the reg values especially SHOWALL CheckedValue from 0 to 1 and click F5 it turns back to 0. And when I delete it it turns back after about 10 sec. But what drives me crazy is that my friend had the same problem and I solved it by deleting an autorun file and a dll file from the external HD that he pluged in and then he changed the CheckedValue to 1 and evreything is working fine for him now. When pluged and double clicked the HD instade of opening showed the box "open with". I know there is a file behind the regeniration process but I haven't yet figured it out. Could you help us please?

Here is the solution for you:
1. Click “Start” -> “Run…”
2. Type “regedit” and click “Ok”.
3. Find the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\A

dvanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
4. Look at the “CheckedValue” key… This should be a DWORD key. If it

isn’t, delete the key.
5. Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with

a value of 1. [If the key “CheckedValue” is there u need not to create

it.]
6. Restart the PC. The “Show hidden files & folders” check box should

now work normally.
---------------------------------------------------------
You can also change in NOHIDDEN change value to 1
in SHOWALL change value to 0 , and check the folder option now

>> Then change the values to the same
NOHIDDEN to 2
SHOWALL to 1
--------------------------------------------
I must be rewareded for the tweak.

THIS IS THE SOLUTION!!!!!

When you restart your laptop, when windows starts to open, you probably get an error message something to do with amvo . right?
anyways
download a program called combofix just google it and download it run it, reboot should fix your problem. it worked for me, so it should for you.

ENJOY
