Svchost.exe problem
Von: mal am 14.12.2007 the .exe above is causing problems.can't go to my outlook or stay online.thanks
Antwort 1 von Dr. No am 14.12.2007 Offten a problem with malware. Did you have XP with SP2? Try this tool: http://www.hijackthis.de/en and check the logfile on the same side
Antwort 2 von LinuxUser am 15.12.2007 The problem seems to be quite common, due to the new version of the 'windows update agent' (wua) - version 3.0. It must not be the result of malware -even though it is likely... install following download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detals.aspx?FamilyID=7a81b0cd-a0b9-497e-8a89-404327772e5a&DisplayLang=de or check the native microsoft site for more information regarding this issue: there is a special hotfix (K'something') for that. feedback would be great, since many people seem to have the same problem. thanks

Antwort 4 von Dr. No am 17.12.2007 When the upater is the problem, then take a look in the event viewer. There must be messages about memory errors from svchost and the mistake comes from the windows installer. More infos: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B916089&x=11&y=11 After installing the hotfix and when there is any problem with the microsoft update service, then take also a look at  this articel: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B927891&x=14&y=10
